Skill Sets Party

Suprise, surprise! Another post about Ethan... I swear the firstborn is so lucky;) Ethan is really enjoying basketball season. He dribbles and passes and will be the first to rip a ball out of someone else's hands.

Ethan also passed off his last skill set (there are 80 of em) last Wed (2nd). He was so excited that he planned a party. So we had 8 kids over yesterday, running around to different 'centers' that Ethan had planned. We had snacks, recess, centers, goody bags, etc. It was fun; but I was done!
Ethan loves to practice sounding out words. The picture above is about 'Holly Shiftwell' (from Cars 2) and NOT 'Holy S**t Well' like I had originally thought. Hahaha!

One sweet story about Ethan: He always remembers to say his prayers before bed. Especially cause he asks to "not have any scary dreams." After the baptism on Saturday, Ethan and his cousin Easton were playing together. We each thought they went with the other family out to the car. But they weren't with either of us. So we went inside the church to look for them (there was a lot of chaos due to multiple baptisms that morning). Tom found him and Easton in a different part of the gym. Ethan told me they couldn't find anyone they knew. So he took Easton under a table in the gym to say a prayer. He only started the prayer before Easton interrupted, and they were found pretty quickly after that. But I am impressed that Ethan thought to pray. I have caught him helping Eli say a prayer a few times when toys are lost too. Warms my heart!
