Tyce @ Two weeks

We've made it two weeks together now. I am actually enjoying the newborn stage more this time around. Probably because my mom was here for a lot of the first week and then my mother-in-law was here for most of the second week. (Which means I've been able to get a nap!) In fact, I don't think I've had a nap since Wed after my mother-in-law left... but I've been getting along okay on my own so far.
Especially because Tyce is such a good baby. He is so easy to lay down for naps- he just looks around in his bed until he falls asleep. He is also really calm, mellow and doesn't cry very often at all. It's still early on, but he is starting to wake up a little more during the day. Nights... hit and miss. Sometimes he will sleep 4 hours at a time and other nights just 3. I feel so much better the morning after a few 4 hour stretches though!

Last night, I had a dream that Tyce was stolen. It felt so real though. I was at an Alumni basketball game- Kenai vs. Wasilla. And everyone wanted to hold the baby so I was passing Tyce around. When I came back from talking to some players on the court, I thought I saw someone holding Tyce at the top of the bleachers. But at halftime, I went to get him and it was a different baby. After I frantically went around the school asking everyone if they had seen my two-week-old who was wearing red jammies, I realized he'd been stolen. It was crazy... and I was so glad to wake up and know it was only a dream! It's amazing how fast you get attached to these little people. Cause in my dream, I was not about to go home to Ethan and Eli without Tyce.
On a lighter note, we had Tyce's two-week check-up. He weighed 8 lbs 11 ounces, which means he gained a whole pound since we left the hospital and was 21 3/4 inches long. So that is somewhere around 75th percentile for height and 50th+ for weight. He is a good eater and a growing boy!

Stacy!! Yeah I had a lot to catch up on! I always go to the Willoughby's blog and look at their blogroll to see who has updated their blogs in the ward and you're on there so I just thought you hadn't updated in forever... but now you're private so it didn't show you'd updated. So yeah I just read about the last six months of your life! ANYWAY congrats again on little Tyce, I think the name is cute! :) Bryce, Tyler, great compromise. I definitely think he looks like Eli. I'm glad he's a good baby for ya! My baby is now 3 months old and already thinking back to the newborn stage I'm like, wow, made it through all that. Anyway thanks for the invite! :)
