First week... funny faces

So our first week at home was a big... success! I would have to say it started out well because the recovery after the third baby is SO much easier. I was feeling really good after only a few days and didn't need any pain meds when I left the hospital.

And after the first two nights of getting up with Tyce, he turned his days and nights around! Hooray:) He started sleeping 3 and a half to 4 hour stretches at night, which meant I only had to get up twice during the night. I felt like a whole new person after getting some decent sleep several nights in a row. I might be able to handle this after all!

It also helped that my mom came to lend a hand. She was so nice to help out with anything I needed, especially playing with the older two boys while I fed the baby and put him down for naps.

Some of our biggest changes after one week with three kids...

-A shower is a luxury
-I've forgotten to brush the boys' teeth every morning... so I try to do extra good at night
-Eli has decided he likes binkies after all- even though he never took one as a baby
-I've also neglected our scriptures during breakfast in the morning
-More cartoons than I could imagine
-Eli became a big grandma/daddy's boy overnight. I'm not sure he's forgiven me for uprooting him from being the baby
-Lots of 'down' time when we used to be on the go quite a bit

And one funny story this week... I tried to take all 3 kids on a walk to the park in the neighborhood. Eli wanted to ride his wiggle car. Ethan wanted to dress up with his swimsuit on his head and a giant blow-up basketball hoop around him. Which meant he couldn't ride his bike and had to walk. Within a block, I was carrying the wiggle car, pushing the stroller with Eli/Ethan trading off riding in it with the baby, and also carrying the big basketball hoop while everyone whined and complained it was too hot/taking too long/can we go home/etc. We looked like quite the parade. Luckily, Tyce was a peach and slept the whole time. I was exhausted though... it might be a while before I go anywhere with three kids alone again.
