I really was excited to turn 30. Honest. It sounds so much more mature and experienced to be in your 30's than 20's. And with a 3rd kid on the way, I should probably try to be more mature and act like I know what I'm doing!
So it was a really fantastic birthday. It started out pretty typical with getting the kids ready for Eli's 18-month check-up. He's back on the chart for weight and growing just fine for height too. So that was a success. And since it was nearby, I stopped by Tai Pan cause I hardly ever get a chance to go out there and found a cute set of colorful porcelain bowls half off- less than $5. (Now I wish I bought a bunch of them for gifts.) That made my morning too... I love a good deal.
Then the fun really began... picnic at the park with friends from the neighborhood, nice afternoon walk, then took the boys to Tom's work so I could get a massage and pedicure at the spa. Aaaahhh... it was so relaxing. I do enjoy going to the spa.
Afterwards (they were running behind so I decided to reschedule the manicure), my cousin Millie was over so she watched the boys so Tom could meet me for dinner. I chose Wingers cause I wanted free b-day asphalt pie for dessert. And when we got home, Millie had made a b-day cake and the boys were coloring my birthday card. It was so cute! I had a fun time catching up with Millie, until Eli woke up puking.
Poor kid... what a sad way to end a very nice day. Ethan had a stomach bug about 3 days ago and he must have passed it onto to Eli cause it happened in exactly the same way... puking from around 9pm til midnight over and over again. Then feeling fine again in the morning. Unfortunately, my stomach hurt too all night and I even dreamed I was puking. Ugh. Hopefully the 30's don't start with a flu bug.
