Tom tells me I am the opposite of a procrastinator... And I think he's pretty accurate. So when I saw the weather was nice (and might not last) I threw the kids in some clothes, grabbed a friend and a camera and went to a park for our family pictures.
I think Tom would have to agree this was the nicest, fastest, and most stress-free family pictures yet. (Probably because I wasn't paying a professional) I didn't shop for matching/mis-matching outfits. I wasn't grumpy that Tom didn't get home til 5:55 and the sun would be going down soon. I didn't worry whether we got the perfect pose/picture. I just decided we'd have a fun time and something would work out for our Christmas cards.
And I think they will work great! Here are a few of my favorites-
