1st Day of 1st Grade

Summer is officially over and school began yesterday.  We are trying to adjust to going to bed between 8:30-8:45 and so far doing pretty well at it.  But I've still had to wake Ethan up both mornings at 8:15am to start getting ready.  I've had to rush him though breakfast...

And snap a few quick pics before the first day...

(I've seen all these cute signs saying "____ Grade" all over facebook.  I thought it was a great idea because I will soon forget which grade the picture was taken.  This is how not cute my sign is though.)

And then we tried to get a close-up to show Ethan is getting his top two front teeth in and his bottom two grown-up teeth are in.  I think it makes for a pretty cute smile:)

Whew.  Two days down... two hundred to go?  All I can say is that I am super glad I only need to get one kid up and out the door early this year.  My other two have been little buddies and running errands with me in the morning.  But Eli asks all day long, "When is Ethan going to be home?"  I think he misses his brother.
