Valentine's Day is such a fun holiday! I am so lucky to have 5 boys to love! Tom and I went out with friends on Vday. We go every year to Buca di Beppo for some yummy Italian food. So we enjoyed the day with the boys on Sunday.
They were able to do Vday card exchanges at school...

Our Valentines tradition with the kids: make homemade heart-shaped pizzas, salad, and yummy pink soda. We decorated sugar cookies as well. I don't go overboard with getting the kids things cause I feel like they have enough fun at school. But I got them each a candy and toy dinosaur this year.
My Grandpa Carlson passed away on Valentines Day. He left behind a legacy of love. Grandpa was a great man, a hard-worker, and loved to laugh. He and Grandma were the perfect example of true love and companionship. Grandpa would be turning 90 this year. His health had been declining and his alzheimers was getting worse. I think he was happy to move past this life and be reunited with my dad and other relatives who have passed on before him. We will miss Grandpa and his stories.
