There are plenty of days that the kids drive me bonkers! But there are also plenty of days that I can't get enough of them. I wanted to write a few things about each of the boys that I enjoy right now before I forget or they outgrow this stage of life...
It is actually Eli that is my most caring boy. Eli can empathize with people better than any of his brothers. He is the one that asks me if I'm okay when I stub my toe or am having a bad day. Eli is the most concerned when Grant is fussy and tries to get him to laugh. Eli will also get Tyce to laugh if he is sad as well. This kid blends in with any group (which makes it hard to remember one-on-one time with him). He is so easy-going, everyone likes to play with him and gets along well with him. Eli is the kid that you hardly realize is home cause he doesn't make a big fuss and will play quietly with or without friends. When I am stressed out, he is the first to obey any command with an "Ok, Mommy!" and even go above and beyond being helpful. But he is also sensitive if I am in a hurry and trying to move kids along. He hates when he thinks I am 'yelling' at him... even if I'm just trying to rush him along. Eli is my natural little athlete and excels at anything athletic.
Tyce is always ready for a party. He makes sure everyone in the house knows he's there and is always looking for a good time. I guess that's a good quality for the third boy, otherwise he might get overlooked! Tyce loves to get a reaction out of people. He's a big tease! Tyce's love language must be physical because he is constantly climbing, jumping, hugging, wrestling anyone in the family. He will always tell you how he feels about you: all day long it changes between, "I hate you Mommy!" (when I won't let him do something) to "I love you Mommy so much!" (when he is happy with me). I love that he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He gives me great hugs and kisses all day long. Tyce is a ham and keeps me laughing with the funny things he says or does. The other day, I reminded him not to play in the street. "Because I will turn into a zombie?" he asked. Haha!
It will be interesting to see more of Grant's personality as he gets older. So far, he has been a happy, sweet, patient little guy. But like all boys, I can tell he's got some mischief in him as well. He will definitely keep me on my toes as he grows bigger and gets into more and more things!
