9 Months Old

Grant is 9 months old this week!  It's gone by so fast- I can hardly believe it.  This little cutie weighs about 17.5 lbs.  He has 2 teeth and loves to eat graham crackers.  Grant is starting to enjoy more and more table food, and less and less baby food.  He likes mushed bananas with his veggies, most fruits, and bean with bacon soup.  He doesn't love bread.
Grant is starting to slide around on his tummy.  He will even get up on his knees and rock back and forth.  It won't be long til he is crawling!  (I don't think I am ready to have a mobile baby.)
Grant has big blue eyes and hair color that varies with the lighting.  Most of the time, I would say it is a light brown color.  But I often have people tell me it looks like there is red to it.
He was sick with a bad cold and cough last weekend.  So Grant was sleeping a lot.  He is almost ready to transition from 2 naps (about 2 hours each) to one long afternoon nap (about 4 hours).  I kinda like that idea because then Grant will nap at the same time as Tyce.  Grant goes to bed around 8:30pm still, but has slept in until 9 or 10am most mornings.  He will wake up once after 8 hours to eat and then go back to sleep.
He is such a tease!  Grant loves to play peek-a-boo.  He likes to sit up and play with his toys.  But Grant prefers to be picked up and carried around.  He is starting to get anxious around strangers and panics unless mom and dad are around.  Grant sometimes bites when he is done nursing.  Ouch!  But when I tell him "no" he sits up and grins at me...  Little monkey!
We love having Grant around.  Ethan loves to carry Grant around and helps me by playing with him and getting toys for him.  Eli is probably the most interested in Grant.  He is always concerned when Grant cries and will try to make him laugh.  He also recently tried to carry him around as well.  Tyce doesn't pay much attention to the baby still.  But they do bond in the bath tub with him on occasion.  I keep telling Tyce that they will be good buddies someday when the other boys are in school.
