Not too much excitement this past week or so... just seriously more nesting. I moved Eli into his new bedroom this past week and pulled out all my baby clothes. Besides a few things here or there, I think the baby can come anytime. Too bad he doesn't have a name yet!
So yesterday, I took the boys to storytime and then we headed to the park afterwards cause it was such a nice day. I was pushing Eli on the swing and Ethan was climbing around, when Ethan must have spotted some litter and decided to pick it up. Cause the next thing I know, Ethan has handfuls of litter and is asking me where the garbage is. He spent the rest of the time at the park making trips back and forth to the garbage, picking up litter.
It just warmed my heart to see him choose to pick up litter all on his own:) He gets that from me- partially from my first job ever picking up litter for ALPAR (Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling) all summer when I was 14 and also from cub scouts where we talk about keeping the earth clean. Anyhow, it has started to rub off on Eli cause the two of us were walking the other day and it was Eli who pointed to the litter and wanted me to pick it up. I need to carry extra bags in my pockets because neither of my boys will let me pass by garbage (no matter how small) without picking it up. Which is okay with me- littering is one of my pet pieves... how lazy can someone be??
And the other funny thing this week is Ethan wanting to sing his train song (from preschool) to everyone at the cub scout pack meeting. Followed by a quick trip to Logan for a cousin's reception and Ethan singing his train song to every table at Wendy's. This kid loves an audience... he even grabbed the mic and started talking during our family reunion a couple months ago. It's hard to scold him cause I think it is quite funny/a little embarrassed/and impressed that he has such guts all at the same time.
