BiRtHdAy fUn- EtHaN iS fIvE!
This was Ethan's first 'friend' birthday party and he was really excited! (I think he started making a list of kids to invite back in February.) And the hardest part was keeping it at 15 kids- there are just so many friends his age in the neighborhood! So even though he loves Star Wars, I decided not to have a true theme and just do water fun activities.
The hardest part was rounding up the kids indoors to decorate their goodie bags... they just wanted to play in the water. So now I know not to spend much time/energy/money on structured activities next time. Just let them run wild!

We started off with a water balloon fight which was a big hit!
Add a little dish soap to the slip n' slide and it makes a soapy, slippery mess!
My favorite birthday picture of Ethan- wet, happy and having fun:)
The big waterslide is always a favorite! Ethan could do this all day long.
Eli and cousin Zach enjoyed the bouncy toy.
Another favorite- Eli and Zach loved splashing in the kiddie pool. Grandma Annette would count to 3 and they would jump and fall down. It was cute to watch. Thanks to Grandma for helping out with the party- especially watching the littlest party animals!
Finally tuckered out, we gathered around for cake and ice cream and presents!
The birthday cake came with extra 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' candles which I thought would be fun. However, Tom could not get them lit without the others blowing out in the wind. So Ethan ended up blowing maybe 2 candles in the end. Oh well.
Presents!! It was so cute cause the kids were excited to have Ethan open the present they brought. Ethan scored a lot of fun stuff- especially Star Wars things:)
