Happy 7th Birthday, Eli!

So Eli was pretty adamant that he wanted a late-night for his birthday party. I really tried to convince him to have the party somewhere else. But surprise, surprise- he wanted the same type of party Ethan had earlier in July.  The invitations turned out pretty cute, if I say so myself. And we had Iron Man cupcakes. And decorations. I was pretty proud of my party-planning self:)

Then the kids arrived... I think there were 20 of them, our own included! (Luckily 3 or 4 couldn't come!) We started out playing night games with glow stick necklaces. Tom is always a hit when it comes to playing games with kids. We have been blessed with such nice fall weather and the kids stayed out there for a good hour.  Then we came inside to eat cupcakes, sprite and sherbet floats, and open presents.  It was a whole lot of chaos and fun!!

Some things Eli got for his birthday included legos, more legos, sports stuff, superhero stuff, scientist experiments, 4 square ball, etc.  On his actual birthday, we got Eli a new basketball, Ant man costume, and a bigger bike! Lucky boy!
The kids all settled down to watch Minions and have some popcorn.  I think the party was a success!

On Eli's actual birthday (Wed, Oct 28th), he got to pick the place for dinner.  Eli chose Pizza Pie cafe- a family favorite!

At 7 years old, Eli:
-loves 1st grade
-likes to play 4 square on recess, especially when he gets to see Ethan during the last recess
-is a really great reader, but loves to do math
-has been learning to play the piano
-is friendly and kind to everyone
-blends in with any crowd easily... is easy to have around
-feels like he should be older than 7
-likes all sports: baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, golf and would like to try football as well
-naturally aggressive and quick
-likes to play legos or create things with Ethan
-constantly badgered by Tyce (who really looks up to him)
-is sweet with Grant and would love to play more with him (who hardly gives him the time of day. Grumpy pants)
-sensitive to mom's moods (or anyone's)
-tries to be a helper
-loves all things electronics
-says the sweetest, in-depth prayers
-my only kid who will sing and dance
Every family needs an Eli!
