It was just us for Christmas Eve this year. Tom works a half day at PineView so I took the boys to the Children's museum downtown to pass the morning. They had a great time!
The boys helped me make "snack bags" to give to a homeless shelter. We delivered them later that evening and it was a great experience for the kids.
One new tradition this year is a sibling gift exchange. We drew names on Mon and the boys used their allowance to shop for each other for FHE. We also passed out candy canes to people checking out. The boys thought it was a good idea to do our gift exchange earlier on Christmas Eve. I agreed- they were excited and a new toy helped pass the time!
Another favorite tradition: Christmas cards on the door and our fav elf "Dominic" came back to visit and watch
Later that night, we ate Totinos pizza and decorated gingerbread houses. The kids loved eating candy and frosting with dinner.
We opened our Christmas jammies and acted out the Nativity with our puppets.
Last but not least, we drank cocoa by candlelight. The boys made beautiful lanterns at the children's museum earlier that day. Time for bed!
(Santa came!)
