So my baby turned one on Friday, Oct 7th! It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by already. We waited to celebrate his birthday until Sunday when some family could come over for a partay:)At one year old, Tyce:
-weighs 19 lbs 9 ounces (exactly one ounce more than Eli at this age and 5+ lbs less than Ethan) and in the 10th percentile for weight
-measures 30.5 inches tall (about 1/2 inch shorter than both Ethan and Eli at one) and in the 65th percentile for height
-has a head circumference of 17.5 inches and in the 5th percentile for circumference
-Has 3.3 teeth. Only one of his upper anterior incisors is all the way through, giving him a "Quazimoto" look (as daddy would refer to it)
-Has been great at going up stairs and just recently started to figure out how to get back down
-Can take 3-4 steps before lunging
-Likes to play with his big brothers... But still manages to pull Eli's hair often.
-Ethan loves to be in charge of Tyce. He will bring him in his room to play, up and down stairs, etc. Ethan always tries to make Tyce laugh
-Still a picky eater: some favorites include oatmeal, mac 'n cheese, chicken nuggets, soups, fruit, pancakes, popsicles, etc
-Starting to want mommy more often these days
-The wiggliest of my boys @ this age. Runs away for diaper changes, climbs out of his high chair, arches his back in his carseat, etc.
-Melts my heart when he says 'Mama'. Probably his first word.
-Has the biggest dark brown eyes and his hair has lightened up to be a very light brown
-Takes 2 naps a day but has occasionally skipped a second nap recently
-Sleeps from 8pm til 6am and then goes back to bed til 8am if I nurse him. So far, he is quite demanding about still getting one nursing in each morning
-Seems more wiggly and opinionated than his more mellow brothers at this age. I think each child is getting progressively more difficult as a one-year-old
-But I love his extremely curious and busy personality. I can't imagine our family without Tyce! He brings us so much joy:)
