Baby Grant is getting BiG

It's been a while since I posted about baby Grant.  He is getting so big so fast!  He will be 17 months old this week (almost ready for nursery- hurray!)

First of all, Tyce took this picture of Grant in his high chair.  We see him in there all the time because Grant LOVES food!  He has an appetite equivalent to Ethan's at this age, if not even more.  But whereas Ethan ate tons and tons of fruits and veggies to acquire a nice big tummy (I never even let him sample sweets), we've been giving Grant a lot of the good stuff from an early age.  So he just loves baked goods- cookies, muffins, brownies, etc.  And don't forget candy.  He also thrives on cold cereal, chicken nuggets, granola bars, fries, yogurt, applesauce, and pb and j sandwiches.  Not the best diet...
Tom took the older 3 to ID for an ISU football game.  So Grant was my little buddy all day.  We started the morning with a bath cause sometimes that is easier than changing his massive diapers! He does sign language for "toilet" every time he is going potty.  He also signs for "more" and "all done" which can be helpful when feeding him.  Grant is quite a talker these days and babbles all day long.  Not much that we can understand except "ball, dada, mama, Jesus, book, shoes, uh-oh, woof-woof, bird, nana (banana), Tyce"
After naps, we took a walk to the park.  Grant enjoyed himself!  He is obsessed with shoes (my only kid to ever want shoes on).  He wants them on first thing in the morning.  He prefers to have only shoes and socks on with a diaper;-)

And then he got to be my dinner date with Grandma.  He certainly enjoyed his sandwich.

Grant is at that stage where he is constantly exploring and getting into things.  You know, when you'd better keep the bathroom door shut!  We find random kitchen items misplaced in other random drawers.  One friend of Eli's couldn't find his shoes to go home.  We looked everywhere and found that Grant had put them in a bowl in the kitchen cupboard.  The other day, I watched Grant get into Tom's underwear drawer.  He pulled out a few pairs, walked into our closet and put them in the white's dirty clothes basketball (I have a different one for darks).  Then he proceeded to push the basket down the hall and into the laundry room.  He also loaded the clothes in the washer machine.  Genius child!

We had a short visit with Grandpa and Grandma Frasure the other day.  I loved seeing the boys enthralled with a story Grandma was reading to them.
