11 Months Old

Grant is 11 months old!  He had a really bad cold and cough last week so it wasn't our best week yet.  We did get a few smiles out of him occasionally...

At 11 months, Grant weighs about 21.5 pounds.  He is cutting 4 more teeth.  He got two on the bottom last week and two on the top this week.  He still slobbers all the time.  Grant is also becoming more independent.  He loves to crawl around and explore things...  But only if mom or dad are nearby!  Grant is in a 'stranger-danger' phase right now and is absolutely livid if someone else tries to hold him.  He is so clingy that if I put him down by my feet at church, he will climb up my leg in a panic.  It is both endearing and frustrating at the same time!
Grant's favorite toys right now are balls.  And sometimes cars/trucks.  He still takes two long naps (about 2-2.5 hours) each day and sleeps for about 12 hours at night.  Grant hasn't woken up at night in forever.  He is starting to give up his bottle on his own and has a little one in the morning before breakfast and one at night.  But some nights he isn't interested and just wants to go to bed.  Grant is an easy baby to put down for bed/naps and will go to sleep in other cribs no problem.
Grant is a fairly picky eater.  He ends up getting a lot of meals on the go!  Thank goodness for squeeze fruit/veggies.  He likes most fruit pureed and I have to sneak his veggies in with his mashed bananas.  He doesn't love baby food dinners any more but also doesn't like table food much.  He throws almost all table food on the floor, even though there is some I know he might like!  Grant probably loves yogurt the most.  Overall, he eats plenty of calories per is chubby little tummy;)

This past week was a busy one!  Besides baseball/soccer/combo every night, we also had our first pinewood derby.  Ethan and Tom made a cool car and weighed it down using nickels.  It took 2nd on it's first race and 1st place the rest of the time.  Great job!

I took the little ones to the zoo with Tyce's friend, Cayden, and his mom.  Fun day!

And we saw lots of this... (both boys are doing great in baseball and really enjoying it)

Eli tried out some golf clubs today and was a natural.
 Pirate party...
