The darndest things

We had a nice weekend with Joe, Lori and their kids Emily and Tyler visiting from Boise. They came for Austin's baptism Saturday which was nice as well. I would have enjoyed the weekend more if I didn't have the WORST sore throat ever. I would wake up all night long whenever I had to swallow and couldn't go back to sleep. I diagnosed myself with strep and got Jason to hook me up with some antibiotics. So I think I am finally on the mend.

In the meantime, kids say the funniest things:

Tom (helping Eli go potty): Ok, now pull up your underwear.
Eli (pointing to his penis- yes we use correct terms at our house): I can't daddy. It's too big.
(Tom thought this was hilarious and has been bragging since.)

On Sunday, Ethan gave a talk in Primary. I told him at breakfast that we couldn't add Mario to his talk when we were practicing. But somehow he managed to add Mario in 2 or 3 times... such as "I want to live in heaven someday with Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Mario!" (The primary children all laugh... while I turn bright red)

And sweet things too:
Ethan always tells me, "Be sure to give me a goodnight kiss, and a goodnight hug, and a goodnight song, and be sure to leave the hall light on!" Now Eli has tried to adopt the same phrase every night before he goes to bed too. I'm happy to comply:)
